Important Announcement from Sally And Jo:

Dear Readers,
We apologize. When we started running this comic, we had a lot more free time on our hands. We both worked unconventional jobs with flexible schedules. We had less responsibilities. Now our lives have changed a lot and as much as this comic means to us, it doesn't clean the house, cook diner, go to work for us, or wash the laundry. In short, we used to have a lot more time to devote to this comic.

Sadly, that is no longer the case.

When we started this strip, it was for the love of it and no other reason. We did it to make ourselves and our friends laugh. We did it because it was fun. We never intended to get rich from it, or gain recognition. That this comic has brought us any extra notice at all is amazing to us and we can't thank you enough! But lately, iIt has started turning into an obligation, not a labor of love. Something we fight about and grumble over having to do. That takes the love right out of it!! For us, and for you.
We will continue updating Parlor Trick, but on a more flexible schedule. We promise that we will always update on weekends, so if you're the kind of person who checks sites obsessively, Mondays are a good bet. But we cannot commit to more than that right now without risking the potential of hating it. That is a risk neither of us are willing to take.

Sorry for the radio silence... life has been full of boxes and unpacking and getting used to an evil, evil job that requires me to wake up at 6:30 in the morning (and that's like, without having been up all the night before partying - can you imagine????)

So what's up and what's going on? Well, I'll tell you...

RagTag Elite has changed its name. We are now known as Mojo Rocket. Website and MySpace are being worked on and will be up and running soon-ish. The MySpace is up, but there's no music or band pictures yet. There will be both.
Our first gig under the new name is October 25th at Clark Park in University City, Philadelphia between 2pm and 6pm. We'll be playing a festival for Pitbull Awareness Day.

Parlor Trick WILL be making a return and VERY soon!! The new artwork for our triumphant return comic is just about done and we're trying to get everything back online within the month. We apologize for the unexplained absence and hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive us. The move was really a lot harder on us than we care to admit...

In other news, I am now also the creator of Rockabilly in Philly - a one-stop online resource for all things 'billy in and around Philadelphia. It's a LOT of work and I often question my sanity about it, but all in all it's rewarding. This October 24th (that's a Friday) we (that's me and grendelsden, whom I've teamed up with to pull this off) will be holding fundraiser benefit for Pinups for Pitbulls and A Buddy For Life. There will be a pinup girl contest and performances by local philly talent - including our headliners The Young Werewolves!! Definitely going to be an awesome event!! Come out and help support the animals!!

So there you have it!! Plans to attend PhilCon are on as usual, so if you're looking to bump into me or my twin, that's a good place to do it. We're also hoping to make it to FaerieCon this year, as well.

Jo and I will be chillin' at the PhilCon table again this year for Wizard World Con. I will be there for at least part of all three days. Jo will probably only be there Sunday. But we'll BE THERE!!

As much as I appreciate the concern for our intellectual property, the DJ in question DID ask perimission before playing our song on the radio. And even if he hadn't, at this stage in the game it's ALL about getting heard! Getting airplay ANYWHERE equals new listeners, and right now, that's better than royalties. Listeners = fans = gigs

So download our tracks!! Burn them to CDs and give them to your friends! THAT'S RIGHT!! We're TELLING you to pirate our music!! Just help us get heard! :)

To anyone who came to the Catwalk Tragedy to see us play, please accept our sincerest apologies. Sally's health is currently not the greatest as she is suffering from a rather large fibroid tumor which puts pressure on her innards in a MOST unpleasant way. Sometimes the pain is too great for her - like last night.

We will NOT be booking again until she has seen a specialist to get this taken care of so that this cannot happen again in the future. It's not fair to you, the people who pay to see us play, or us. Instead we will be using this time to focus on writing.
